I believe that God has planted seeds of greatness on the inside of every one of us. We all have dreams and desires, things we want to accomplish; things we want to see changed. But so many times, life has a way of stealing our dreams. We go through disappointments, face adversity, things don’t turn out as we would like. Too often, people just end up settling for second best. But God doesn’t want us to settle for second best. He wants us to be determined, press on, and pursue the greatness that’s on the inside. We should never let “good enough” be good enough!
I want to encourage you today to stir yourself up and get your fire back. Start speaking victory over your future. If one dream has died, dream another dream. Put yourself in a positive, faith-filled environment. Get around people of excellence who live passionately. Fan the flame that is in you so you can move forward into all God has in store for you!
“I will bless you with an abundant increase of favors. And I will make your name famous and distinguished and you shall be a blessing.” (Genesis 12:2)
God wants you to learn to be a giver. Instead of trying to figure out what everybody can do for you, begin to figure out what you can do for other people. When you reach out to other people in need, God will make sure that your own needs are met. When you learn the simple secret of how to “live to give,” you will truly be fulfilled and happy, and experience the abundance God has for you.
You may think you don’t have anything to give, but you can give a hug, or a smile. You can give your time and encourage those around you. You can make a difference in somebody’s life today. As you develop your lifestyle of giving, you will discover the champion in you!
A BIG AMEN. :)
“The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest” (Exodus 14:14, AMP)
In life, we’re always going to have critics. We’ll always have difficult people who try to upset us and steal our peace and joy. But, you don’t have to respond to every critic. You can decide to take the high road and let God fight your battles for you.
Sometimes, no matter what you say or do, there are people who aren’t going to accept you. They just don’t want to be at peace with you. In fact, when Jesus sent out His disciples to certain homes, He told them to always speak peace over those homes. And then He said in effect, “If they don’t receive the peace that you’re offering, then it will come back to you.” That tells me that if you will do your best to be at peace with people, even if they won’t take your peace, the good news is that peace will just come back to you. You’ll not only get your peace, but you’ll get their share as well! That’s double for your trouble! When you do the right thing no matter what is happening, God sees it and rewards it. Today, stay in peace, cease from strife, and take the high road. Sow good seeds into others and watch the harvest of blessing come to your own life in return.
Trust. It can’t be half-hearted. Either it is full trust or it is clouded with suspicion. So as we face the everyday challenges of life, or as we look for answers in deep and difficult problems, let’s put our full trust in the LORD. Let’s ask for his wisdom and guidance as we make our choices. Let’s give him praise for the good in our life and seek his blessing for the days ahead. Why? Because he longs to bless us with life, both now, and forevermore.
Psalm 34:10 says, “Those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.” When God created you, He put in you everything you need to fulfill your destiny. You have the talent, the creativity, the ideas. You are full of discipline, focus and self-control. You have strength, determination and resolve. The Creator of the universe has crowned you with His favor. If you’re going to live a victorious life, you have to see yourself as a no-lack person. The way you see yourself will determine what kind of life you live.
